Why Forge Your Own Rings?
The workshop is more than making rings – it is a shared experience you will remember. You work with your own hands, take part in every step and create something that connects you both.
No previous experience is needed. I guide you through every step: melting, rolling, bending, hammering, filing and polishing, in the relaxed atmosphere of the Heckmann Höfe.
At the end of the day, you take your finished rings home – forged by you, for you, with my guidance.
How the Workshop Works
From the blank to the finished ring – you take an active part in every step.
1. Consultation
Beforehand, we discuss your wishes: material, width, height and finish – via Zoom, email or directly at the workshop.
2. Melting
The metal is melted, and you see solid gold or platinum become liquid.
3. Walzen & Formen
The blank is rolled, bent and hammered – you shape the material with your own hands.
4. Welding
The ring is closed by welding, creating a seamless connection without visible solder.
5. Hammering, Filing & Polishing
The ring is shaped, sanded and polished until the surface is perfect.
6. Engraving
Laser engraving is done on site, so you can watch your message being engraved into the ring.

How Much Do the Rings Cost?
The price depends on the material, size and width. Calculate your individual price with our ring calculator.
Laser engraving is included in the price. The workshop fee is already included.

Do We Need Craft Experience?
No. You need no previous experience. I guide you step by step through the entire process. You work independently, but always with support.
How Long Does the Workshop Take?
Usually 4 to 6 hours. You work at your own pace without time pressure. If you need more time, that is no problem.
Can We Take the Rings Home Immediately?
Yes. At the end of the workshop, the rings are finished, including engraving, and you take them home with you.
Can We Use Old Gold?
Yes. Bring your old gold and we can reuse it or credit its value. Old jewellery becomes new wedding rings.
Can We Forge Mokume Gane Rings in the Workshop?
No. Mokume Gane rings require a highly specialised process and cannot be made during the workshop. They are available as bespoke commissions.
Which Materials Are Available?
Gold (yellow, red, rose and white gold), platinum, palladium and various alloys. During the consultation, we determine what suits you best.
Where Does the Workshop Take Place?
At the workshop in the Heckmann Höfe in Berlin-Mitte (Oranienburger Str. 32), an oasis among cafés and restaurants.
