Wedding rings made from your own gold
The form changes. The gold remains.
Existing jewellery, inherited gold or previous rings can become the actual material for your new wedding rings. Not only their monetary value is carried forward – but the gold itself.

Direct use
Your gold remains your gold.
Melting. Fusing. Forging.
Suitable customer gold is worked directly into the new rings. It is not sold and not merely credited against the price.
No conventional sprues. No solder joint in the finished ring. Made from one piece.
Not only the value remains. The gold itself remains.
A new ring made from existing gold.
The process
From existing jewellery to a new ring.
The suitable material is melted, fused and worked into the new rings in our workshop.
Your gold becomes the starting material.
A high-quality, homogeneous material structure is created.
The ring is made from one piece – without conventional sprues or a solder joint.
Depending on the actual process, the existing material can be used to a very great extent.
A colour with its own origin
And the colour? The gold decides.
With direct processing, the colour is not predetermined. It develops from the composition of the material you bring us.
Sometimes warmer.
Sometimes lighter.
Sometimes somewhere in between.
Not entirely predictable. Entirely individual.
For those who are not looking for the perfect shade, but for their own.
Requirements
When can customer gold be used directly?
Gold of at least 585 fineness
Only suitable customer gold with a fineness of 585 or higher can be processed directly.
Sufficient material
Approximately 20% more suitable gold is required than the calculated final weight of the finished rings.
Material-defined colour
The final gold colour is determined by the existing material and cannot be freely selected.
No hallmark
Rings produced by this direct process do not receive a fineness hallmark.
The alternative
Would you prefer a specific gold colour?
Then a conventional old-gold credit is often the better option. The precious metal you bring us is valued and credited against the price of the new rings.
We then make the new rings from a deliberately selected alloy. This allows you to choose the fineness and gold colour.
Crediting is also suitable for gold below 585 fineness, unsuitable mixed materials, an insufficient quantity or when a precisely defined colour is desired.
Precious metal that is not used directly or is purchased by us is returned to a professional recycling cycle. More about gold purchasing, recycling and the origin of additional precious metals.
Your gold always has value. You decide whether you want to carry its material or its value forward.
Important for wedding-ring workshops
The direct processing described here is not available in our wedding-ring workshops. Existing precious metals can only be valued and credited there.
Two paths
Use your gold directly or have it credited?
Use customer gold directly
- Your original gold becomes the material for the new rings.
- Suitable gold of at least 585 fineness.
- Approximately 20% material reserve required.
- The colour is determined by the existing material.
- No free colour choice and no hallmark.
- Made from one piece, without a solder joint.
Credit old gold
- The material value is credited.
- Also suitable for old gold that cannot be processed directly.
- No direct-processing material reserve required.
- The new alloy can be selected deliberately.
- The gold colour can be selected deliberately.
- The ring is made from newly selected material.
Transparent advice
Only have a small amount of gold?
Then having it credited may be the better choice.
Direct processing requires enough suitable gold plus the necessary material reserve. With a smaller quantity, it is therefore often less expensive to have the value of the gold credited against the new rings.
You can calculate and compare both options in our ring calculator.
Have your material assessed personally
What is waiting in your jewellery box?
Bring your existing jewellery or gold to our workshop. We will examine the material, determine whether direct processing is possible and calculate how much is required for your chosen wedding rings.
Your gold can become new rings.
And its story can begin a new chapter.
