I have worked with precious metals since 1995. Designs, materials and many precise steps come together to create rings made for the people who will wear them.
I was born in Spain in 1975 and grew up in different parts of South and Central America as well as Europe. These places shaped the way I see design. Today, however, my work is defined above all by the craft itself: looking closely, understanding the material and translating an idea into a well-made object.
The workshop
This is where the rings are made.
Consultation, design and production all take place at MVH Schmuckwerk. In the workshop, alloys are prepared, metals are melted and rolled, blanks are formed, surfaces are finished and engravings are applied.
Many of the tools have accompanied me for years. Other machines make steps possible that require particular precision. What matters is not whether a tool is old or new, but whether it is the right one for the task.
When you visit for an appointment, you see more than finished rings in a display case. The workshop is directly behind it. Questions about materials, production and feasibility can therefore be answered in concrete terms.
How I work
From the first conversation to the finished ring.
Listen and clarify
We begin with the requirements: shape, proportion, material, everyday use and budget. From these, I develop a design that works both technically and visually.
Use materials deliberately
Gold, platinum, palladium and Mokume Gane behave differently. The alloy and production method are chosen for the ring rather than from a standard template.
Make it in the workshop
The rings are produced and inspected here. Adjustments can be discussed directly, without anonymous production routes or changing contacts.
Mokume Gane and design
The structure grows from the material.
I have worked with Mokume Gane since 2003. Different precious metals are joined into a single composite and then worked until an individual pattern becomes visible. The process demands experience because the choice of metals, temperature, deformation and surface finish are closely connected.
Photography also accompanies my work. It sharpens the eye for light, proportion and detail. Nature and sailing provide balance; back in the workshop, the focus returns to concentration, tools and material.
I want to make rings whose design is understandable and whose craftsmanship stands up to close inspection.
For me, personal service does not mean talking at length around the work. It means being available, explaining decisions and taking responsibility for the result.
