Mokume Gane
The centuries-old Japanese art of layered metals
WooD grain in metal
Mokume Gane means “wood-grain metal” – a technique in which different precious metals are fused together using heat and pressure. The resulting patterns resemble wood grain or geological layers.
Every ring is unique – its exact pattern can never be reproduced. Combining different metals creates fascinating colour transitions from silver and gold to warm red tones.
