No prior knowledge required – I will guide you and accompany you through every step: from melting to rolling, bending and hammering, right through to filing and polishing. All in a relaxed atmosphere at the Heckmann Courtyards.

At the end of the day, you take your finished rings with you – forged under my guidance, by you for you.

This is how the workshop will proceed

From the blank to the finished ring – you are actively involved in every step.

1. Beratung

We'll discuss your requirements beforehand – material, width, height, surface finish. Via Zoom, email, or directly in the workshop.

2. Melting

The metal is melted – you will witness how solid material becomes liquid gold or platinum.

3. Rollers & Molds

The blank is rolled, bent and hammered – you shape the material with your own hands.

4. Welding

The ring is closed – welding creates a seamless connection without visible solder.

5. Hammering, filing & polishing

The ring is shaped, ground and polished – until the surface is perfect.

6. Engraving

The laser engraving takes place on site – you can see live how your message is engraved into the ring.

How much do the rings cost?

The price depends on the material, size, and width. Calculate your individual price with the ring calculator.

Laser engraving is included in the price. The course fee is already included.

Do we need any practical experience?

No. No prior knowledge is necessary – I will guide you step by step through the entire process. You will work independently, but always with guidance.

How long does the workshop last?

Typically 4 to 6 hours. You work at your own pace, without time pressure. If you need more time – no problem.

Can we take the rings with us right away?

Yes. The rings will be finished by the end of the workshop – including engraving. You can take them with you immediately.

Can we use scrap gold?

Yes. Bring your old gold with you – we'll recycle it or credit you towards your purchase. We'll turn your old jewelry into new wedding rings.

Can we forge Mokume Gane rings in the workshop?

No. Mokume Gane rings require a very elaborate process and cannot be made in a workshop. They are made to order separately.

What materials are possible?

Gold (yellow, red, rose, and white gold), platinum, palladium, and various alloys. We'll discuss what suits you best during a consultation.
